With fewer than 40 miles to run in relatively protected
water, we slept in this morning and didn’t leave until 8:00 a.m.
We enjoyed sun and glassy seas most of the way up Fitz Hugh
Sound. A bit of swell rolled in near Hakai Pass, but they were small and so
lazy that we hardly felt them.
Codville Lagoon is a nice stop. A primitive hiking trail
leads to Sager Lake. I hiked it with several other people and took a swim when
I arrived. Cold water, but not frigid.

Exploring Codville Lagoon by dinghy |
Later I explored the whole inlet by dinghy. I love having a
fast dinghy to make exploring longer distances feasible. Lots of neat nooks and
tidal lagoons within Codville Lagoon.
